A new leak about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold reveals its design as well as three of the many features it will offer.
Last month, Samsung announced its plans to launch the worldโs first Galaxy smartphone with a tri-folding display, which is expected to debut as the Galaxy Z TriFold by the end of this year. So far, thereโs only been one major leak about the deviceโs hardware โ an animation spotted in One UI 8 showing how to use the phoneโs NFC functionality. That animation hinted at the phoneโs form factor, design, and camera setup.
Now, a new leak has surfaced, confirming that the upcoming device will support wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and NFC payments.

On X, tipster @TechHighest has shared three videos showcasing Samsungโs upcoming tri-folding smartphone, which appear to be official animations of the device.
The first video demonstrates how to wirelessly charge the Galaxy Z TriFold, confirming that the phone will indeed support wireless charging. The second video shows the phone being used to charge Galaxy Buds, which confirms reverse wireless charging. The third video highlights how to make payments using NFC.
While wireless charging is expected โ since most mid-range and flagship phones already offer it โ the inclusion of reverse wireless charging is a pleasant surprise. Foldable phones usually have less internal space for components, and with the growing demand for thinner designs, there was always a chance Samsung might have skipped this feature to keep the device slim.
Recently, we also got a glimpse of the Galaxy Z TriFoldโs multitasking capabilities, but beyond that, details about the device remain scarce. Hopefully, Samsung will share more information at its IFA 2025 press conference.
